Setting Up Outlook for "IN-BASKET" processing
It may be beneficial to create a Search Folder for use with the Outlook Capture  tool.   This Search  Folder can become your default "view" of your e-mails.  All  you do is delete or categorize all items  that are processed, thereby hiding  them from view.
Below is the configuration typical of the "IN-BASKET" search folder:
