MODULE 10: Capture / Store / Process
Before you can use the "Capture / Store / Process " commands (available via the  "Capture" tab in  MindManager 7 and  MindManager 8, or the Tools menu in MindManager  6), you need to specify  your  categories or tags.  
This section walks you through the process of getting started.  There are three  parts:
Specify your categories (or tags)
TPAssist 2007's "Capture / Store / Process" capability extracts the categories / tags  from a  MindManager map.  This  map contains 1 or more  Quick Links  and needs to  be constructed /  populated prior to using TPAssistCapture. 
Failure to customize the Quick Links map will result in Send Topic, Link At and  Send Map  showing “ERROR,  ERROR…” in  the category/tag dialog.  
To get started, simply do the following:
1.  Open MindManager.
2.  Locate “TPAssist Options” 
In MindManager 6, see the Tools Menu. 
in MindManager 7 and 8, see the TPAssist Ribbon, Tools Tab and choose  “Options”.

3.  In the Options dialog, choose “Edit Quick Links (Open Map)”

4.  With the newly created Quick Links map open, add your categories/tags (Explain:  Quick  Links):
Each category/tag is a single topic,off the central topic.  These  subtopics  should typically  be  hyper linked to  the target  map / topic.

As well as creating categories/tags directly in this map, you can also  use  TPAssistCapture's Topic  Context  command to automatically  add  quick links.

5.  Save and close the Quick Links map.
6.  Locate “TPAssist Options”.

7.  In the Options dialog, choose “Refresh list of Categories / Tags  used by  the  capture  tools”.

Move content quickly and easily
TPAssist includes the ability to move content around your various linked project and  dashboard  maps quickly and easily:
Firstly ideas,  tasks, notes and next actions  can be  captured via the  System Tray  Capture  (STC) tool

Secondly, you can send topic trees to the capture basket via the  Send  Topic  MindManager  Command.

Thirdly, you can use the capability to automate the process of creating linked topics  on  dashboards and summary maps  via the  Link At MindManager Command.

And finally, the entire mind maps can be sent to the capture basket via the   Send  Map  MindManager Command.

Process your captured items.
Basket Processing is performed within MindManager.  
To process outstanding items, simply open MindManager, then click the  TPAssist  Process  command.
In MindManager 6, see the Tools Menu. 
in MindManager 7 and 8, see the TPAssist Ribbon, the Capture Tab and choose  “Process”.

TPAssist will now open each captured item, find the associated  Quick Link,  follow the  hyperlink  and  insert the captured  item  as a new subtopic at the  resulting location.
If you have added a topic to your Quick Links map, but not assigned a  hyperlink, the  captured  item will  be added to a  new blank map.
If your target hyperlink is a Mindjet Connect map or if the network based map  isn't  available,  TPAssist will either  leave the  item in the basket or add  it to a new blank  map.  (See  Options for  configuration of this capability).
